Its that time of the year again…. Graduation. Which means there are presents that come along with this, I want to make something fun and cute – can I call it cute when it is going to a teenage boy? Yes, yes I can or at least I am going to.
But also its going to a teenage boys so of course it needs to involve money, right?
First I had to go find the perfect picture frame to display my work of art and the money, money! I found a double sided glass picture frame.
I used a thicker piece of paper for the base and then picked out two colored pieces of paper that went along with his school colors.
I criss-crossed them like so. Fold down the edges and just fold them on the back side and tape them down.
Now it gets into the fun part. I used my cricut, stamps and stickers to put this together.
And then in the frame it goes with the money of course. For the money part, I used four bills. I decide to give $50 as it is a big day for this amazing nephew of mine that did it. Graduated!!!!!! I think that deserves something special and what kid doesn’t think $50 is special. To get this amount I used two $20 bills and two $10 bills.
I took the $20 bills and folded them up into squares. Then I took the $10 bills and rolled them up. I took some black string to make a tassel, I then took the black ribbon to tie around the rolls bills to look like a diploma. Now it’s ready to give to him.
And the smile on this kid’s face was all worth it. Congrats to him!!!!!
Such a cute, thoughtful gift! I know he loved it! I also love the picture of all you at the end! Thanks for being such a great auntie! xoxo
